Okay, the light bulb argument seemed sound. But this argument? Quoting the founder of the KKK? Ahem. Are we short on common sense in Congress? Are they rationing it? Do they take turns with it? Because the rep. from Texas doesn't look so sensible on this day.

geeze.... he sounds so lucid the one day talking about light bulbs then on another like you said..common sense gone. This is what is so frustrating about politics. One day a guy/gal gives a speech you can really get behind, then next he says something that makes you want to disavow all knowledge of him/her.
