Vote of No Confidence

My family, particularly Nana and Bella, have some interesting opinions on my jobs/career. Recently, I have volunteered to tutor children in summer school. This week after tutoring, Nana, Grandma, Bella and I gathered to head out to Grant's Farm. The following conversation took place in the backseat.
"Leah, how was your tooting?"
Bella was beside her self with laughter.
"No, Nana. Tutoring. That R is very important."

No matter. When I worked at the mall selling troll dolls as a teenager, Nana told people I worked at the mall selling Trojans. Trojans to tooting. I think it's getting better?

However, since I was let go in March it seems it has dampened Bella's opinion of my ability to hold down a job. She confided in my mom, "I think Mommy is going to get fired from tutoring." And when we visited Jonathan for lunch this week she announced, "Hey, this is where you sat at Fire Island."

If your ego and self esteem can survive your child....no one else in this world will be able to touch it! I'm so looking forward to how i will get dressed down in the future.
