Six Flags Drama

It was hot. We put on our swimsuits. Jonathan and I headed out to get a locker and inner tubes. Amber, Kayla, and Bella headed to the bathrooms. We'd been at the water park for a total of 10 minutes tops. I rounded the corner calling, "Amber." We need the girls to get their bracelets put on. At the same time, Amber was calling, "Leah." She had Bella in tow and Kayla in her arms. Kayla's lips were white. Her eyes were large. She said, "I can't see." We got her into the shade.

Good Samaritans gave us a bottle of water, fanned Kayla, and I kept her head between her knees. Amber and Bella went to fetch Jonathan. Another good Samaritan fetched first aid for me. I get a cold cloth on the back of her neck, and a wheelchair appears. We are following closely on the heels of the first aid man.

They get her into the AC, prick her finger and test her blood sugar levels, give her more cold water, put her on a cot, and clean the cut on her chin. She had stepped out of the bathroom and fainted when no one was with her. She can't really remember what happened. After about 10 or 15 minutes, she was released.

It was an odd start to the day. But she felt well enough to brave the roller coasters just a few hours later. We spent the day at the amusement park, but this was by far the most dramatic part.
