What Was That?

Finally, it's that time of year when you can sleep with the windows cracked open. You can feel the soft, cool breeze. You can listen to the cicadas. In fact, you can hear all the noises of the night.

I know I have a lot of critters living on my property and the property right behind me. I know there are lizards, black snakes, garter snakes, and copper head snakes, little spiders, big spiders, the middle of the night make an emergency call to pest control wolf spider, field mice, owls, turkey buzzards, turkeys, raccoons, opossums, groundhog - that's Colonel Redbarn to be exact, stray cats, cardinals, blue jays, rabbits, and cows. But last night. Last night I could have sworn there was a monkey doing battle with a pigeon.

AT 3am the other morning a scene from Hitchcock's THE BIRDS was taking place outside our house. It was so loud we had to get up and close the windows......
